Terms of Use for Jubilee

Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using Jubilee ("the app," "we," "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Description of Service

Jubilee is a personal budgeting tool that helps you organize and track debt payoff using the "debt snowball" method — a strategy of paying debts in order from smallest balance to largest. Jubilee also includes an optional collection of Bible verses related to financial stewardship.

2. Not Financial, Legal, or Professional Advice

Jubilee is an informational and organizational tool only. It is not financial advice, and we are not a bank, lender, credit counselor, financial advisor, or fiduciary.

• All calculations (payoff order, projected debt-free date, projected timelines) are estimates based on the numbers you enter. They do not account for interest rate changes, fees, missed payments, changes in income, or other real-world factors unless you update your entries accordingly.
• Jubilee does not connect to your bank, credit card, or loan accounts. You are responsible for entering accurate information and for actually making payments to your creditors — the app does not make payments for you or communicate with your lenders in any way.
• Before making significant financial decisions, consider consulting a licensed financial advisor, credit counselor, or attorney.

3. Your Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy of the debt, balance, and payment information you enter
• Actually making your real-world payments to your actual creditors
• Backing up or otherwise preserving your data — since all information is stored locally on your device (see our Privacy Policy), we have no ability to recover lost data if you delete the app, lose your device, or experience a device failure

4. Intellectual Property

The Jubilee name, design, and original text are owned by us. Bible verses included in the app are quoted from the World English Bible (WEB), a translation in the public domain, and are not subject to copyright restriction.

You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the app itself without our permission.

5. Donations

Jubilee is free to use. If you choose to support us through the optional donation link in Settings, that transaction is processed entirely by a third-party platform (such as Buy Me a Coffee), under their terms — not ours. Donations are voluntary and non-refundable except as required by the donation platform's own policies or applicable law.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Jubilee is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any projected payoff date or calculation will be accurate or achieved.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, financial loss, or missed payments, arising from your use of or inability to use the app.

8. Changes to the App or These Terms

We may update the app or these Terms at any time. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
