Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Steward collects and how it's used.

What we collect

Creating a Steward account stores your name, email, and the budget, income, expense, debt, and blessings data you enter in your own private account, hosted on Google's Firebase platform (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore). This lets your data sync across devices you sign in on. Appearance and onboarding preferences (like dark/light mode) stay local to each device and aren't synced.

What we don't do

We don't sell or share your data with third parties, and we don't use analytics or ad-tracking SDKs that profile you. Firebase (Google) stores and transmits your data as our infrastructure provider — see Google's own privacy policy for how they handle data on our behalf — but we don't grant any other company access to it.

Notifications

If you enable Due Date Reminders, reminders are scheduled locally on your device using your phone's notification system. No reminder data is sent to us.

Data you export

Giving statements you generate (PDFs) are created on your device and only shared if you choose to share, save, or print them yourself.

Account deletion

You can permanently delete your Steward account and all of its data yourself, in-app, at any time, from Settings → Account → Delete My Account. This removes your profile, budget, transaction history, and sign-in credentials entirely — nothing is kept in a recoverable form afterward.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
